1. Information We Collect

Personal data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, billing information (processed by secure third-party payment processors), and optional phone number. If you contact support, we receive any details you provide.

Usage & technical data: We automatically collect IP address, browser type, device identifiers, feature usage, prompts submitted, AI-generated responses (stored temporarily for performance improvement), and interaction logs. We do NOT record keystrokes outside the active session.

Cookies & similar tech: We use essential, functional, and analytics cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. You may control cookie preferences via browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the AI assistant features.
• Personalize your experience, suggest workflows, and tailor outputs.
• Process transactions and send service-related communications.
• Analyze usage trends, detect anomalies, and enhance security.
• Train and refine our machine learning models (aggregated / de-identified data only – you can opt out via settings).
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. Limited sharing occurs only with:

• Service providers: Cloud hosting (AWS), analytics, payment processors (Stripe / PayPal), and email delivery services – all under strict data protection agreements.
• Legal compliance: If required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property of GetLibStart, users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred with notice.

4. Data Retention & Security

We retain your account information as long as your account is active plus a reasonable period afterward (up to 90 days). Prompt inputs and outputs may be stored for up to 30 days to improve service quality, after which they are anonymized or deleted. We implement encryption (TLS), role-based access, and regular audits. However, no internet transmission is fully secure – you are responsible for protecting your credentials.

5. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location (including GDPR for EU residents and CCPA for California), you may have the right to: access, correct, delete, or port your data; withdraw consent; opt out of targeted processing; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, email privacy@getlibstart.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You can also manage cookies via our cookie preference center, disable non-essential tracking, or use “Do Not Track” browser signals (honored where required).

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have inadvertently done so, we will delete it promptly.

Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our servers reside. We ensure appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers from the EEA/UK. By using GetLibStart, you consent to such transfers.
